Who I Am

I'm Dr. Eoghan Colgan — an emergency medicine doctor who got curious about something medical school never taught me: how to actually stay healthy as we age.

This is my journey to uncover the answers — and I'd love you to join me.

25 Years as a Doctor. Zero Training in Longevity.

I've been a doctor for nearly 25 years. I've treated thousands of patients in emergency departments across the UK and Australia.

But medical school taught me to treat disease — not to optimise health. Nothing about longevity. Nothing about what keeps people thriving into their 70s, 80s and beyond.

When I finally looked for answers, I found chaos. Conflicting advice everywhere. Complex protocols designed for people with unlimited time. And a wellness industry that somehow makes being healthy stressful.

I knew there had to be a simpler way.

So I Investigated. Systematically.

I've now interviewed over 20 world-class scientists and researchers — sleep experts from Oxford, exercise physiologists from McMaster, longevity researchers from Harvard and Stanford.

I asked them all: if someone could only do a few things, what would actually matter?

Then I tested everything on myself.

And the impact surprised even me! (see below). So I've distilled each pillar down to the few actions that make the greatest difference to health and longevity. I call them The Vital 3.

Not 100 biohacks. Not complex protocols. Just the vital few, done consistently.

These results came from applying The Vital 3 — the same principles I share on this channel - after just 5 months.

No extreme diets. No hours in the gym. No unsustainable protocols. Just the vital few habits, done consistently over time.

I also sleep better than I have in years, have sustained energy throughout the day, and actually enjoy food more — without restriction.

That's why I called it Stress-Free Longevity. The approach itself doesn't add stress to your life.

Everything I teach is what I'm doing myself.

Beyond the Scrubs

I'm from Northern Ireland — which might explain the accent. I live in Glasgow now with my wife and three daughters.

My path hasn't been linear. In 2007, I left medicine to pursue music after winning a national songwriting competition. I spent four years as a professional singer-songwriter before returning to medicine. It taught me that following curiousity is always worth it.

I've also built a medical education platform reaching doctors and nurses worldwide, hosted a podcast with 35,000 subscribers, and trained as a medical acupuncturist and CBT-i sleep coach.
